«Stories of Marrakech» where four great writers tell their secret Marrakech

Currently, in this unusual context, outdoor activities are very limited. And after a few weeks of quarantine, for some people, time goes by slowly. Nothing like reading to make you travel, dream and escape while staying at home. Today, the Royal Mansour Marrakech invites you to download exclusively its short-story collection “Stories of Marrakech” co-written by four renowned authors.

Each Friday for the next 4 weeks, we will share with you the story of each writer, starting with Tahar Ben Jelloun’s one.

“STORIES OF MARRAKECH”, THE BOOK TO READ WHILE IN QUARANTINE

Royal Mansour has always had the ambition, in all fields, to offer the best and finest things. When the idea came up of a literature project, bring together the greatest quartet of acclaimed French and French-Moroccan authors was evident.
 
Four big names have agreed to write a story exclusively for the hotel’s guests. They had one concern, and it was accepted with joy, was that they had to stay at the Royal Mansour Marrakech. Tahar Ben Jelloun, Prix Goncourt, member of the Goncourt Academy, Adélaïde de Clermont Tonnerre, Grand Prix of the French Academy, Marc Lambron, Prix Fémina, member of the French Academy and Leila Slimani, Prix Goncourt. Each writer reveals their own secret story inspired by the Royal Mansour and the city. The result is a collection of very moving tales that will make you see the ochre city very differently!
 
The edition of the collection “Stories of Marrakech” was designed to reflect the exceptional nature of their work. Translated into English and Arabic, each cover changes color depending on the language.
