The 50 Best Hotels 2026: Royal Mansour Marrakech among the world’s finest

Unveiled on 15 September in Paris, the 50 Best Hotels 2026 list once again honours Royal Mansour Marrakech. Ranked 26th among the world’s finest hotels and named Best Hotel in Africa, the Moroccan palace confirms its place among the great names of international luxury hospitality.

Royal Mansour Marrakech, 26th in the world and Best Hotel in Africa 2026

The Salles du Carrousel in Paris played host to the fourth edition of the 50 Best Hotels ceremony, bringing together hospitality’s global elite. On this exceptional evening, Royal Mansour Marrakech climbed to 26th place worldwide and was crowned Best Hotel in Africa.
Within its walls, the palace unfolds across 53 private riads set amid its own medina and gardens, a setting that celebrates Moroccan craftsmanship in every detail. Hand-cut zellige, carved wood and chiselled plasterwork come together in an address conceived as a singular interpretation of Moroccan art de vivre.
Gastronomy, too, holds a central place. La Grande Table Marocaine and La Grande Brasserie carry the vision of Hélène Darroze, while Sesamo reflects that of Massimiliano Alajmo. At Le Jardin, Jérôme Videau’s cuisine completes this collection of tables, each with its own distinct identity. The 2,500 m² Spa extends the experience further, built around the hammam, treatments and wellness rituals.

The Moroccan art of hospitality

For Jean-Claude Messant, Managing Director of Royal Mansour Collection, this distinction celebrates not only an exceptional architectural setting, but also the dedicated work of the teams who bring the spirit of Royal Mansour to life each day

“This latest recognition within the 50 Best Hotels is an immense source of pride for Royal Mansour Marrakech and for our entire team. It pays tribute to a vision of hospitality deeply rooted in Moroccan identity, where mastery of craft, the transmission of Moroccan artisanship and attention to every guest hold a central place.
This recognition encourages us to continue our pursuit of excellence, and accompanies us as we develop the Royal Mansour Collection further, pursuing our expansion with the same ambition: to bring a singular vision of Moroccan hospitality to new addresses.”

As Royal Mansour Collection continues to extend its distinctive signature across Morocco; notably through the acclaimed openings of Royal Mansour Casablanca and Royal Mansour Tamuda Bay; this recognition at the 50 Best Hotels 2026 reaffirms the Collection’s position as an unrivalled ambassador of Moroccan luxury and craftsmanship on the world stage.
