A tasty Porridge recipe by the Michelin-starred Chef Yannick Alléno

Aside from its simplicity and its nutritional benefits, another reason to love the porridge is when the Michelin Stars Chef Yannick Alléno shares his recipe! It combines fresh oranges, almonds and dates. The orange blossom flavor and the Orgeat syrup make it the perfect pick. It’s easy, delicious and absolutely loaded with fibers and vitamins. A bowl one hour before your morning exercise will power you and keep you going!

THE RECIPE’S INGREDIENTS

To make the Oat Porridge, you will need the following ingredients:

  • 60 g oatmeal
  • 440 g whole milk
  • 34 g orgeat syrup
  • 160 g Majhoul dates
  • 20 g slivered almonds
  • 1 orange
  • 1 orange juice
  • 1 tbsp of orange blossom water
  • 15 g sugar
  • A pinch of salt

PREPARATION OF THE OAT PORRIDGE BY YANNICK ALLÉNO

Remove the dates’ skin and cut them into small dices. Cut the oranges into segments. Toast the almond flakes in a dry pan over medium heat until they start to turn golden brown. Heat the milk in a pan. Add the orgeat syrup and the sugar. Stir in. Bring to a boil and simmer for 4-5 minutes until smooth and creamy. Sprinkle in a pinch of salt and remove from the heat. Add orange juice and orange blossom water. Serve lukewarm or cold and garnish with dates, orange segments and toasted slivered almonds.
